6 Days Ethiopia Coffee Tour | Sidama, Yirgacheffe and Coffee Heritage
Depart Addis Ababa and travel south through the Ethiopian highlands toward the Sidama coffee region. During the journey, visit a coffee-growing community and receive an introduction to Ethiopian coffee production, farming practices, and cultural traditions. Participate in a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony before arriving at your hotel in Sidama. Lunch and dinner are included, with overnight accommodation in Sidama
After breakfast, visit coffee farms in the Sidama region and learn about coffee cultivation, plant care, and harvesting practices. Meet local farmers and observe coffee processing activities where seasonal conditions allow. Later, enjoy a guided coffee tasting session featuring locally produced Sidama coffee before returning to your hotel for a traditional dinner. Following breakfast, travel through scenic coffee-growing landscapes toward Yirgacheffe. Visit coffee-producing communities and, where available, tour coffee washing stations or processing facilities. Taste locally produced Yirgacheffe coffee and learn about the region’s distinctive coffee profiles, growing conditions, and processing traditions. In the evening, join another Ethiopian coffee ceremony. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, with overnight accommodation in Yirgacheffe.
After breakfast, visit a coffee farm and walk through the coffee-growing landscapes of southern Ethiopia. Meet local farmers, learn about traditional harvesting methods, and enjoy photography opportunities among coffee plants and rural communities. Continue toward the next coffee destination according to the selected route, season, and local conditions. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, with overnight accommodation in a coffee-growing region.
Today, visit another coffee-producing area to learn about coffee processing, drying, roasting, and preparation. Participate in a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony and taste different locally produced coffees. The day also includes time to explore local markets, meet community members, and enjoy a cultural dinner. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are included, with overnight accommodation in a coffee-growing region.
After breakfast, enjoy a final coffee tasting and, where available, visit a local coffee market or producer. Begin your return journey to Addis Ababa through the Ethiopian countryside, where your Ethiopia coffee farm and culture tour concludes. Breakfast and lunch are included.
